NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA – Collective Data, Inc., the makers of collectiveFleet integrated fleet management solutions, has released collectiveFleet v5.2, the latest edition of the fleet information management software. This release is highlighted by total code rewrite of the software to better accommodate the growing market demand for flexible data sharing and advanced reporting capabilities by fleet information management systems.
The new software incorporates several functionality enhancements suggested by research conducted with the company’s clients and in the broader market.
“The ability to make informed decisions regarding equipment lifecycles, fleet composition, inventory, and a host of other issues is becoming a core reason for implementing a fleet information system,” explained Jason Wonase, president of Collective Data, “Maintenance scheduling and inventory management are still key issues, but the ability to base strategic decisions on real-world data and the ability to easily share that data are compelling reasons to invest in a comprehensive program and our new system delivers that ability in a very flexible manner.”
CollectiveFleet 5.2 provides a simplified set of editor tools, enabling users to create new reports or customize stock reports. Sharing reports and data collected by the software is accomplished through the ability to connect data pathways to other programs and the capacity to create portable documents that can be e-mailed or posted on a Web site. Smart filters simplify the task of isolating individual records and a new-user interface that aids in program navigation are also among the list of innovations contained in the new collectiveFleet 5.2 software.
