The 2017 Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe EX-T trims now feature standard six-speed manual transmission (6MT) that produces a peak 174 hp and 167 lb.-ft. of torque when paired with the 1.5-liter direct-injected and turbocharged DOHC engine
The amount of torque offered from the transmission and turbocharged engine combination offers 5 lb.-ft. more torque compared to Coupe and Sedan models that are equipped with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The CVT remains optional on turbocharged EX-T trims, but is standard on EX-L and Touring, according to the automaker.
Fuel economy for the EX-T Sedan and Coupe with 6MT is 31/42/35 and 30/41/25, respectively.
The EX-T Sedan trim is priced at $22,335 when offered with 6MT and is priced at $23,135 when offered as CVT. The price for the EX-T Coupe is raised the same amount between the two transmissions, going from $22,435 for the 6MT, and $23,235 for the CVT.
The 10th-generation Civic lineup starts at manufacturer's suggested retail price of $19,575 for the LX Sedan and $19,985 for the LX Coupe when they are offered with 6MT, but cost an additional $800 when offered with CVT, according to the automaker.
The CVT-powered Sedan EX and Coupe LX-P come standard with 2.0-liter DOHC in-line 4-cylinder with i-VTEC Powertrain, and are priced at $21,975 and $21,785, respectively.
The EX-L Sedan and Coupe with 1.5-liter direct-injected engine are offered at $23,800 and $23,525 respectively, and the Touring models are priced at $26,600 for the Sedan and $26,225 for the Coupe.
Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies come standard on Sedan and Coupe Touring trims, and are available on all trims of Civic Sedan. This includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
