Chrysler Shows Minivans With Mobility Equipment in Detroit
DETROIT, MI - Chrysler debuted its new “Automobility Program” at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), showing two minivans equipped with ramps for wheelchair accessibility.
DETROIT, MI - Chrysler debuted its new “Automobility Program” at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), showing two minivans equipped with ramps for wheelchair accessibility.
Chrysler said the vehicles on display include a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country equipped with a side-entrance ramp and a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with a rear-entrance ramp. According to the automaker, The Braun Corp. installed the ramps.
“We are committed to helping our physically-challenged customers to enter, exit and/or operate a new vehicle,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Dodge Brand and Head of U.S. Sales. “This is our first Automobility display at the North American International Auto Show, a perfect event to spread the word that we want to help ease the financial burden of drivers and passengers with physical challenges.”
Chrysler Group’s Automobility Program display is located in the NAIAS’ Mobility Center located in Cobo Center’s Michigan Hall. The NAIAS runs through Jan. 22.
