Chrysler Group Reports U.S. June Sales
Chrysler Group reported sales of 198,962 units in June, a six percent increase compared to June 2002, calculated on a day-rate basis. The all-new Chrysler Pacifica recorded sales of 6,642 units in June 2003, more than double the total in May 2003 when 2,471 vehicles were sold.

Chrysler Crossfire, the all-new sports coupe, sold 275 units in June, its first month of sales. Dodge Ram pickup trucks were Chrysler Group’s top seller, with sales of 41,115 units in June. Ram sales set an all-time record for June, and were up 31 percent compared to June 2002, when 34,053 Ram trucks were sold. Dodge Durango sales were also up in June, with a total of 9,669 units, an increase of 10 percent over last year when 9,533 vehicles were sold. As a result of the Durango and Ram sales increases, total Dodge truck sales were up eight percent in June 2003. The Jeep® Wrangler, with 6,599 units sold, was up seven percent, compared to June 2002 when 6,690 vehicles were sold. Jeep Grand Cherokee reported sales of 15,099 units for the month, a one percent increase compared to year-earlier levels. The company credits its national Summer Sales Drive, which began June 2, as a key factor in the Chrysler Group sales performance in the month. Additional June sales highlights, compared to the same month last year: Chrysler Concorde recorded sales of 3,228 units, up 23 percent. Dodge Stratus sales totaled 11,653 units, up 50 percent. Chrysler Group finished the month with 518,573 units of inventory, or a 63-day supply.
