Chrome Launches Carbook Pro for Fleet Professionals
PORTLAND, OR - Carbook Pro is a new web-based, multi-user tool for fleet professionals that enables them to quickly and easily research and configure vehicles and share their work with built-in quote worksheets and dozens of customizable reports.
PORTLAND, OR - Chrome Systems Inc., a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRAK) and an industry leader in managing automotive data, today announced the introduction of Carbook Pro, a new web-based, multi-user tool for fleet professionals that enables them to quickly and easily research and configure vehicles and share their work with built-in quote worksheets and dozens of customizable reports.
Fleet sales professionals at auto manufacturers and dealers need to accommodate varying requirements of corporate customers, such as price, fuel economy, size/weight, emissions and availability of numerous vehicle options. In addition, they often prepare detailed comparisons of the vehicles they are selling with competing vehicles, so electronic access to the most comprehensive, timely and accurate information is obviously critical.
Carbook Pro consists of seven modules - Build a Vehicle; Standard Equipment; Vehicle Comparisons; Quote Worksheets; Report Templates; Vehicle List Management and Technical Specifications - which can be purchased as a set or licensed on a component-by-component basis. The modules also can be activated on a user-by-user basis, depending on user permissions, and the solution includes a robust management console that allows managers to invite users, delete users, filter component views and promote/demote account managers.
"Fleet professionals are expected to know every detail about every vehicle so they can make the best fit between vehicle and customer requirements on any particular order," said Amit Maheshwari, general manager of DealerTrack Data Services. "Carbook Pro from Chrome dramatically simplifies that process with an intuitive, multi-user platform that can be customized to fit the needs of any company. We've included comprehensive functionality that is permissions-based so a company only has to license what is critical for them. This tool is easy-to-use and built around what our customers need to help them do their jobs better, faster, and with more accuracy."
