The Chevrolet Traverse registered the fastest order-to-delivery (OTD) time among crossovers/SUVS for the 2017 model-year, averaging 52 days, which was a two-day improvement over 2016 figures.
Crossover/SUV OTD data was calculated from order placement to delivery to an upfitter or, if no upfitting was required, to a dealer. The days spent at an upfitter were not included in the OTD times.
The finding came as part of the results of Automotive Fleet's annual OTD survey jointly completed with nine fleet management companies. The survey also ranked OTD times for cars, vans, and trucks.
The participating fleet management companies were ARI, Donlen, Element Fleet Management, Emkay, LeasePlan USA, Merchants Fleet Management, Mike Albert Fleet Solutions, Union Leasing, and Wheels Inc. The OTD survey tracked deliveries of 137,034 new vehicles during the 2017 model-year that were comprised of 103 different models.
