General Motors is offering its 2015 Chevrolet Colorado with a box-delete option so fleet managers can better configure the mid-size pickup for specific jobs, GM announced today at NTEA's Work Truck Show.
The package will be available by the middle of April and is on display at the show.
"The Colorado makes a great, flexible choice for urban businesses and fleets to make the most of a mid-size truck," said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president of GM Fleet & Commercial. "It’s ideal for utility companies requiring service bodies, as well as landscapers and other businesses needing the utility of a flatbed."
The box delete package – RPO order code ZW9 – is available on Colorado Work Truck rear-wheel drive extended cab models with the 3.6-liter V-6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission. A $300 credit is applied to the Colorado's suggested retail price when the option is selected.
The model offers 2,200 pounds of payload capability with a 6,001-pound GWVR, temporary tail lamps installed on the rear of the frame, rear bumper deleted, full-size spare tire included, eight body mount provisions, Z82 trailering package, and G80 locking differential.
