Chevrolet is rolling out an array of new vehicle options for its fleet customers for the 2018 model year on a trio of utility vehicles, cars, and its low cab forward trucks, the company told Automotive Fleet.com.

With sales of compact and mid-size SUVs on the upswing, Chevrolet has added fleet options for its Trax, third-generation Equinox, and second-generation Traverse.

"Both on the commercial or retail side, we're seeing an overall growing demand in crossovers," said John Schwegman, GM Fleet's director of commercial product and medium duty. "To meet this demand, we're matching Chevrolet's fresh lineup of crossovers, and are coming to market with a number of features and options that fit the vocational needs of our customers."

For the Trax, Chevrolet will continue to offer the Fleet Convenience package on the LS trim that includes cruise control, six-way power driver seat, and rear window and lift-gate deep-tinted glass.

New fleet options for the Equinox include an LS trim grade with a power driver's seat with eight-way power and two-way lumbar and deep tint rear glass.

Chevrolet will offer an infotainment package with the Equinox 1LT without the sunroof and includes options such as enhanced color digital information center, MyLink radio with 8-inch color touchscreen, additional USB ports, and a 120-volt power outlet.

"Our commercial and government customers are interested in features that provide their teams with functional benefits on the job, while still meeting their budgets," said Jason Simcoke, GM Fleet's commercial product manager. "That's what led us to designing this package that removes sunroof, while keeping 120-volt power outlet and more."

The Equinox 1LZ also offers an infotainment package that deletes the sunroof and offers the MyLink radio with navigation, Bose premium seven-speaker audio system, or HD Radio. This package is designed to offer navigation to fleets who don't want the sunroof.

Fleet options for the 2018 Traverse include a 1FL trim level (LS for fleet) that adds a power driver's seat with eight-way lumbar and rear park assist, as well as a 2FL trim level (LT trim for fleet) that adds a 120-volt power outlet, rear park assist, side blind zone alert, land change alert, and rear cross traffic alert.

For its low cab forward trucks, Chevrolet is offering a new five-year or 100,000-mile warranty for the gasoline cabover for qualified fleet customers. There are no new fleet-only options on the other full-size trucks.

Three sedans add fleet-only options, including the Sonic, Cruze, and Malibu. Chevrolet will offer a Sonic LS hatchback that isn't available to retail buyers.

The Cruze LS offers options such as cruise control with steering wheel controls, a spare tire, and rear safety equipment, as well as an LT trim with optional forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and Lane Keep Assist.

A Malibu 1FL model includes LS content with an available power seat.

Chevrolet will also offer options carried over from the 2017 model year that can be viewed from the link below.
