California’s electric car market share remained steady, and vitality in the industry remains strong, despite slowing demand for all vehicles.
California's electric car market share remained steady with a small decline of 0.65% from 8.91% in 2018 at 178,134 to 8.26% in 2019 at 156,101. Nationally, the electric car market share remained steady with a small decline of less than two tenths of a percent to 0.175% from 2018 to 2019.
