PITTSBORO, N.C. --- A biodiesel workshop is scheduled for Oct. 1-5 at Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro, N.C. The workshop, priced at $700, will run all day, from 9 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Sponsors include Solar Energy International, Piedmont Biofuels and Central Carolina Community College. The workshop will include a visit to Piedmont Biofuel's Coop. Topics addressed during the week will include biodiesel production, small- and large-scale applications, converting diesel engines to run on vegetable oil, engine care when using biodiesel, technology advances, business models, and legislation initiatives.
