Michael Bieger was named global fleet manager for the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), which operates 1,400 vehicles and an estimated 2,800 motorcycles in more than 80 countries beyond the U.S.

Bieger assumed CRS global fleet responsibilities in November 2019, which includes asset acquisition strategy, fleet operations oversight, fleet policy development, fleet safety management, and asset disposal strategy. CRS is an arm of the Catholic Church, whose mission statement states: “Catholic Relief Services carries out the commitment of the Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas.” The key regions that CRS operates are in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Prior to joining CRS, Bieger was the managing partner of Black River Fleet LLC, a fleet management consulting company, and earlier was the senior director global procurement for ADP, a position he held from December 2005  to June 2018 in Roseland, N.J. While at ADP, Bieger was responsible for corporation's global fleet, as well as logistics/shipping spend, and vendor relationships. Bieger developed and coordinated global category initiatives, which included planning, managing, and directing all financial, operational, and safety management activities of ADP’s global fleet program. In addition, Bieger was involved in the negotiation of local and strategic global contracts.

Among Bieger’s key accomplishments at ADP was the implementation of strategic use contracts with four manufacturer groups in EMEA, the successful consolidation of lessors from 24 to three preferred lessors, and the transformation of ADP’s 1,200-vehicle fleet in the U.S. to be 100% hybrid vehicles.

Bieger is a past president of the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) serving from 2017-2018 and is a long-time member of the AFLA Board of Directors. In addition, Bieger has served on a number of industry advisory boards, such as the GM Commercial Fleet Sounding Board, the GE Fleet Services Client Advisory Board, and the Wheels Client Steering Council.
