OPENLANE, a leading operator of digital marketplaces for wholesale used vehicles, has rebranded its AutoVIN subsidiary to OPENLANE Inspections.
This alignment with the parent company brand reflects OPENLANE’s focus on simplification, technology, and customer experience.
OPENLANE Inspections merges the company’s off-lease and dealer inspection teams and applies technologies to deliver comprehensive, accurate inspection practices for OEMs, dealers, rental car companies, fleet operators, captive finance, and other lending institutions.
“The OPENLANE brand promise is all about making wholesale easy and deploying tech in a way that provides the very best customer experience,” said Dustin Cruz, vice president of marketplace operations at OPENLANE, in a Sept. 11 news release. “Our rebrand to OPENLANE Inspections directly embodies that easy experience our customers want and deserve.”
Using AI and a network of field inspectors across the U.S. and Canada, OPENLANE Inspections has grown in commercial off-lease vehicle inspections, Cruz added. By combining off-lease and open marketplace inspection teams, the company can deploy innovative tools to improve consistency, quality, and results for commercial consignors and dealers.
OPENLANE Inspections offers a variety of inspection programs, innovative technology solutions, and data to enhance customer decision-making and risk management.
It inspects millions of vehicles each year and enhances that data with AI to generate clear, actionable intelligence and a more transparent marketplace.
The subsidiary enables a streamlined and seamless inspection process and more robust and reliable vehicle condition reports in easier formats.
