Autobytel.com announced that Ann Delligatta has left her position as chief operating officer as of Aug. 15 to re-form her own consulting company. Autobytel.com will be Delligatta's first client. Delligatta will retain an office at Autobytel.com and focus on continuing to broaden the scope of Autobytel.com's relationships with dealers, manufacturers, and other automotive partners.
Before joining Autobytel.com in 1997, Delligatta was the president of the Pharos Group, a California-based management and technical consulting firm, where she assisted companies in applying technology and effective management techniques for solving business and strategic issues. Prior to that, she was VP and general manager of TRW's Information Systems and Services Technology organization. She was recently named by Automotive News as one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.
Delligatta joined Autobytel.com as chief technology officer, where she helped take the company from a basic car-buying service to a robust e-commerce site offering integrated automotive information, as well as a variety of ancillary products. Delligatta was promoted to COO in the summer of 1998.
