Audi showed a Q8 concept utility vehicle that features an infotainment system that fully integrates Google's Android operating system that would go beyond the current Android Auto, the automaker has announced.
Audi showed the vehicle at the three-day Google I/O conference that begins May 17 at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.

New functions include the streaming service Spotify, Google Play Music, and Google Assistant that run on the vehicle's MMI touch display in the center of the dashboard as well as in the virtual cockpit in front of the driver.
The navigation map continues to use the Audi HERE database, but the driver can also choose to navigate with Google Maps. The implementation also includes a message center for incoming messages and calls.
