Audi Reports Best-Ever July Sales in U.S.
HERNDON, VA – Audi of America reported July U.S. sales of 9,146 luxury vehicles, which beats the previous record of 7,974 vehicles sold in July 2001.
HERNDON, VA – Audi of America reported July U.S. sales of 9,146 luxury vehicles, which beats the previous record of 7,974 vehicles sold in July 2001. This is the seventh consecutive month of record sales gains for the company. The automaker said that year to date, Audi sales in the U.S. grew 15.6 percent to 65,055 luxury vehicles sold from January 2011 through July 2011.
The company said the sales mix of the premium models in the lineup, the Audi A8, A7, A6, Q7, jumped to 32 percent, compared with 18 percent during the same period last year. Sales of the all-new 2012 A6 reached 1,014 vehicles sold. The 709 2012 Audi A7 vehicles sold in July. Audi Q7 sales in July went up 31.2 percent year over year and up 39.7 percent year-to-date, compared with 2010.
When it comes to the company’s TDI-equipped models, 54 percent of total A3 sales were TDI models in July, and 36 percent of Q7 models sold had that engine. For the A8, the company said its sales increased year-over-year to 450 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales of the A8 were at 3,300 vehicles sold.
