Audi Named Official Car of AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
AUBURN HILLS, MI – Audi of America has been named the official automobile of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament.
AUBURN HILLS, MI – Audi of America has been named the official automobile of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament. As part of this three-year sponsorship agreement, 180 competitors will have access to a complimentary Audi A6 for use during the annual tournament.
The 72-hole PGA Tour golf championship dates back to the 1930s and partners top Tour professionals with Hollywood celebrities, world renowned musicians, and the captains of industry as they compete for a $6 million purse.
To date, more than $66 million have been raised and distributed through the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, which organizes and hosts the tournament. Hundreds of non-profit organizations benefit from the proceeds of this tournament.
Hertz, the official rental car company of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, will supply 180 brand new Audis to tournament players during the weekend to showcase the Hertz “Prestige Collection.” Several Audi A6s will also be on-site during the tournament to give visitors an up-close look at the automobiles.
Players will pick up the Audis at Hertz locations at San Francisco International Airport, San Jose International Airport, and Monterey Peninsula Airport. Hertz is the official rental car of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Audi’s three-year sponsorship agreement of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is preceded by a record year for sales in the United States. The automaker sold 93,506 vehicles in the US in 2007, a 3.8 percent increase over the previous year.
