AUBURN HILLS, MI – Audi is
launching driving programs, dubbed the “Sportscar Experience,” at the
challenging 2.5-mile Infineon Raceway in
Sonoma,
California, according to www.autoweek.com.
The most intense experience is a two-day R8 driving program, which includes
plenty of track time and instruction from professional drivers. It costs
$3,495.
Drivers looking for just a taste of the R8’s 317 lb-ft of torque can try the one-day option, which costs a more budget-conscious $1,895. Audi also is offering one- and two-day RS 4 programs that teach drivers braking, accident avoidance, and other fundamentals. The one-day program costs $1,295, and the two-day event costs $2,495. There’s also a half-day option offering drivers an up-close look at Audi’s S-model lineup, as well as the chance to get behind the wheel of the S8, with its 450-hp V10, for $695.
The programs take place at the Audi Forum, which is located on turn one of the raceway. The circuit, located 45 miles north of San Francisco, takes drivers through 12 corners and has drawn comparisons to Germany’s famous Nürburgring course.
