The 2018 Audi Q5 will retail for $42,475 when it goes in sale in April as a second-generation model of the compact luxury SUV. Fleet ordering has begun, said Tony Trapalis, Audi's manager of corporate sales.
The 2018 Q5 is powered by a more powerful base inline-four. Buyers seeking a six-cylinder engine will now need to step up to the SQ5. The 2018 Q5's 2.0 TSFI makes 252 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque — an upgrade from the 2017 Q5's 2.0L that made 220 hp and 258 lb.-ft. The SQ5 retails for at least $55,275.
Audi will offer the 2018 Q5 in three trim grades, including Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.
The Premium model includes 18-inch wheels, a rear-view camera, Bluetooth, and hill descent control. Premium Plus adds full LED headlights, side and rear-sensing systems, front and rear sensors of parking maneuvers, and heated front seats. Prestige adds 20-inch wheels, a head-up display, premium sound system, top-view camera system, and navigation.
The 2017 Q5 retailed for at least $41,850.
