Audi of America announced retail pricing and fuel economy figures for its upcoming TDI version of its A8. Pricing for the Audi A8 L TDI starts at MSRP of $82,500 and features an EPA-estimated 24 city, 36 highway, 28 combined mpg. Performance-wise, the automaker said the A8 TDI’s engine can produce 240 hp, 406 lb.-ft. of torque, and go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. For 2014, A8 L TDI only comes in a long wheelbase version, according to Audi.

For MY-2014, Audi said it updated the vehicle’s available option packages. The Premium package now features Audi side assist and pre-sense rear, 22-way multi-contour comfort seats, font seat ventilation with a massage feature, and LED headlights.

Audi said the A8 L TDI will go on sale in early spring 2013 and that it will provide additional 2014 model-year information about other Audi vehicles later in the year.
