Auction Broadcasting Company Opens Nashville Facility
Auction Broadcasting Company (ABC) recently announced the opening of its Nashville facility. The auction site, located at 631 Burnett Road, Old Hickory, TN, was built from the ground up on a greenfield site. The six-lane facility features 60 developed acres out of a total 234-acre site, which leaves plenty of room for future expansion. ABC Nashville provides a complete range of value-added services to dealer consignment, factory, financial institution, fleet/lease, and captive finance customers. The auction site features complete reconditioning, body shop, and mechanical repair services. ABC also offers its customers such value-added services as local and nationwide pick-up and telemarketing services. The Nashville facility mirrors ABC’s flagship auction site in Indianapolis, IN, the company’s headquarters. ABC Nashville features state-of-the-art technology, including the Auto Auction Theater Technology and the Recon Ramp. The Auto Auction Theater technology allows dealers to sit in the comfort of a roomy theater. A solid glass wall facilitates viewing of cars as they proceed to the auction block. Six large TV screens feature up to six automobiles available for purchase simulataneously at the local facility as well as facilities throughout the ABC network of auctions. Computer screens at each theater seat allow dealers to bid on and purchase these cars in real-time. ABC is the first auction in North America to implement the Auto Auction Theater Technology. The ABC Reconditioning Centers feature an innovative Recon Conveyor Ramp, ReconRamp, that automatically processes cars through the center. Cars do not have to be manually moved from station to station; at each checkpoint, standardized procedures ensure a uniform recon process for every vehicle. This advanced technology reduces pollution, increases safety, and allows ABC to process more cars, more efficiently.
