MT LAUREL, N.J. – Automotive Resources International (ARI) recently conducted an EnviroFleet seminar in Irvine to fleet managers and decision-makers. The seminar featured presentations by Leo Thomason, co-founder and training director for the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVi). Thomason has more than 20 years’ experience in the alternative-fuel industry and has worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Energy and its Clean Cities Programs. He addressed the use of alternative-fuel vehicles as an important part of a “green” fleet strategy.
In addition, Jim Creighton, ARI’s VP of Global Strategic Services, and Jeff Robley, ARI’s national truck sales manager, educated attendees on the advantages of utilizing hybrid vehicles in their fleets. Creighton and Robley addressed federal incentives offered today to companies taking advantage of alternative-fuel and hybrid vehicles for business use, regenerative braking, significant fuel savings opportunities, and decreases in idle time.
Other topics of discussion were two case studies involving recommendations that ARI’s global strategic consulting team has given to clients interested in supporting their corporate “green” initiatives.
