Jordan Clark has been promoted to the post of fleet/lease manager at America’s Auto Auction Bowling Green.  A 10-year veteran in the auction industry, Clark has worked at the Bowling Green facility since 2014.

"Jordan Clark is a devoted and effective member of the auction team, who is equally adept at facilitating auction processes and interfacing with our customers,” said Brian Thomas, senior vice president at America’s Auto Auction. “He has been instrumental in helping the auction’s clients navigate the challenges of remarketing vehicles during the pandemic, and we look forward to his continued success.”

Clark’s work in the auction industry began in 2011, when he went to work at ABC Detroit/Toledo as a part-time clerk charged with scanning titles. After just two weeks, he was urged take on a full-time post as a CR writer, an assignment he accepted without hesitation, even though, he admits, he knew very little about cars. He learned quickly, however, and within 18 months he was named head CR writer and was put in charge of redemptions.

Clark describes himself during this training period as a sort of “Swiss Army knife,” learning many different skills that would allow him to help wherever he was needed, and to step in for fellow employees when they were absent or on vacation.

To his responsibilities as a CR writer he added experience in posting charges, submitting reports to clients, assisting dealers with paperwork and working as a block clerk, all of which prepared him for work in the fleet/lease department.

In 2014 Clark was asked to help out at ABC Bowling Green as the auction prepared for the arrival of a large new account.  After a week during which he worked with the fleet/lease staff make ready for the new client, the general manager asked him to stay on.  He made the leap, and today is the longest-tenured full-time employee at America’s Auto Auction Bowling Green.

“Jordan is the kind of person everyone depends on, employees and clients alike,” observes auction General Manager Mike Goodsell. “He’s honest, works wells with customers, is very knowledgeable and is always willing to do what it takes to get the job done: from checking in cars, detailing vehicles, taking photos and handling CR’s to following up with sales results to the customers.  He is a great choice for fleet/lease manager here at Bowling Green.”

“Going from a Friday title-scanner to fleet/lease manager is a huge jump, but all the steps I took along the way helped me grow and succeed,” Clark said. “I’ve been privileged to work with many great mentors along the way who have helped guide and direct me on this journey. We’ve built great relationships with our accounts at Bowling Green, and we’re poised to add more. I’m excited to lead the fleet/lease department as we gain even more momentum and build a process that will encourage sustainable growth.”

Founded in 2005, America’s Auto Auction, Inc. is the third-largest auto auction company in the United States with 23 locations.
