ATLANTA–The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) will be host to a one-and-a-half-day transportation symposium, titled Improving Fleet Safety. Topics include in-vehicle technology, smart vehicles and other new technologies, event recorders, and using safety programs to retain employees. The sessions and discussions will focus on new challenges faced within the transportation industry, management processes, and best practices that can be implemented to move programs, organizations, and careers forward.
The symposium will be held Sept. 12–13, from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m.–1 p.m. on Thursday. It will be held at the UPS Corporate Offices in Atlanta, Ga.
