SANTA ROSA, CA - As the West Coast arm of Alliance AutoGas, California-based Blue Star Gas is leading the charge for growth in the Western U.S. AutoGas market. Blue Star Gas has rolled out an AutoGas fueling station to provide Santa Rosa-area vehicle fleets with this clean, economical fuel.

"As an Alliance AutoGas partner, we recognize the need to start building the AutoGas market by working with public and private vehicle fleets," says Blue Star Gas CEO and owner Jeff Stewart. "This is the first fueling station in our plan to build a sustainable AutoGas market on the West Coast. We've already begun conversations with fleets in the area about the many benefits of switching from gasoline to propane AutoGas."

Powering over 14 million vehicles around the globe, AutoGas is the third most widely used vehicle fuel in the world, behind gasoline and diesel. "AutoGas is clean burning, it's domestically produced and it's less expensive at the pump than gasoline - it's an excellent fuel for fleets," touts Stewart.

Stewart, who represents the third generation of Blue Star Gas family ownership, joined Alliance AutoGas in 2009. "We work with fleets because they're an ideal fit for the solution we provide," says Stewart. "It's a turn-key service that includes vehicle conversion, fueling and technical support. We also provide comprehensive safety and operational training."

"We couldn't be more pleased with the progress Blue Star Gas is making on the West Coast," says Alliance AutoGas President Stuart Weidie.  "Aggressive partner initiatives are critical to the expansion of the U.S. AutoGas market - and Alliance commends our West Coast partner in rolling out this fueling station."

Blue Star's Alliance AutoGas fueling station will require drivers fueling on site to participate in a card-key program, ensuring that only those trained in safe fueling procedures will be operating the pumps.

A 74-year old propane industry veteran, Blue Star Gas is eager to continue its expansion of propane Autogas fueling on the West Coast, reducing U.S. foreign oil dependence and fostering a national green economy.
