TORONTO– AirIQ Inc. has announced that a large National Construction Equipment Rental Corporation has selected AirIQ's mobile asset management solution for its fleet of mobile generators and heavy equipment. The initial agreement, which follows a period of extensive field testing, calls for equipping generators in a specific region with a plan to expand quickly to other regions across North America.
According to Anne Taylor, vice president, marketing and sales, commercial fleets, "The knowledge of daily usage patterns enables equipment rental companies to perform maintenance service on their expensive equipment at optimum times, thereby extending equipment life. As well, with daily usage information, these clients can bill their customers for actual usage resulting in tangible economic returns on their telematics investment. Winning this sale is highly strategic as it offers both a new customer for our products, as well as a channel to the end-users who rent the commercial and industrial equipment."
AirIQ launched its construction asset management service with a unique offering that provides large companies that use mixed fleets (i.e., heavy equipment, light-trucks, and automobiles) the convenience of managing their assets from a single portal. The company has now extended this same benefit to rental equipment companies.
