MESA, AZ – AFV Solutions, Inc., a diversified energy company, is the “Focus on Fleets” sponsor of the Clean Cities Congress and Expo 2006, to be held May 7-10, 2006, in Phoenix.
The congress, convened by the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute and Arizona Clean Cities, is one of the largest gathering of alternative fuel and vehicle technology advocates. Its 1,500 attendees will include alternative-fuel experts, policy makers and manufacturers. One hundred exhibitors are expected to display a wide array of products and services related to the alternative-fuel industry.
As “Focus on Fleets” sponsor, AFV Solutions is assisting in identifying and selecting up to 100 fleet representatives to attend the congress for free. Fleet participants also will be AFV Solutions’ guests at an exclusive tutorial workshop, “How to Develop and Implement a Successful and Economically Sound AFV Program,” which explores all facets of alternative fuels, vehicles, and technologies. In addition, AFVS is hosting a special Fleet Day in the exhibit hall May 9 and a private reception following the tutorial.
“The objectives of the Clean Cities Congress have taken on greater significance in view of the alternative fuel and vehicle provisions of the 2005 Energy Policy Act,” says Jeff Groscost, president and CEO of AFV Solutions. “We are proud to be supporting this initiative to encourage market-ready transportation solutions that will contribute to clean air and mobility options that decrease dependence on petroleum.”
