The Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) announced on July 28 that four members were recently elected and appointed to serve on their board.

Matthew Betz, expert-fleet optimization at DTE Energy, will serve as secretary. "Throughout my long fleet career, I have found great value in my participation in fleet industry associations, with AFLA at the top of the list," Betz said. "The education, industry leadership, and long-standing relationships developed at AFLA fueled what I consider a successful fleet career. I am thankful for this opportunity to work more closely with the very talented people that make up the AFLA board, and give back to the organization and industry that have been so important to me."

Caroline Costello, vice president, business development for Auto Driveaway, will fill the position of director of allied service providers. “AFLA has always been a cornerstone in my fleet career – providing valuable resources and connections for learning and growing in our industry," said Costello. "I'm honored to be re-elected and thankful for the chance to ensure AFLA continues providing robust learning and development opportunities for our member base."

Don Wright, commercial sales director at Five Star Ford, will hold the office of director of dealers on the AFLA board. "Thanks so much for giving me the honor to serve as director of dealers," Wright said. "I look forward to helping all of us to be our best in these challenging times. Hope to see you in San Antonio."

Debbie Struna was re-elected to serve a second term as director of remarketers. Struna is currently national account manager at Fleet Street Remarketing, LLC. "It’s an honor and a privilege to be able to continue to serve on the AFLA board," Struna said. "I’m thankful to be able to input my voice into the future strategy of the association. I will regard my post highly and do my best to add value to the board."
AFLA’s new leaders will officially begin their terms at the close of the AFLA 2021 Corporate Fleet Conference, themed Emerging Stronger, held October 3-6, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas, at the La Cantera Resort & Spa.
