Trooper, PA – Advanced Driver Training Services, Inc. (ADTS) announced that its Web-based driver safety testing application has won an award from the Platte Canyon Multimedia Software Corp. The application, which combines ADTS’ bimonthly OnRoads driver safety magazine with online testing, was developed by 4D Solutions, Inc., a worldwide provider of learning manage-ment systems, web development, turnkey commerce solutions and marketing consulting services. Platte Canyon awarded 4D with its “Best VBTrain.Net Training Application” award, based on criteria such as the application’s effectiveness for the learner, its user interface, and its efficiency in creating content. Visual Basic.NET is considered the industry standard environment for the development of e-Learning applications. The ADTS Web-based testing application enables organizations to efficiently test business driv-ers on key safety concepts, measure retention, and reduce liability exposure. Six times a year, drivers receive an OnRoads magazine issue with practical safety strategies, along with Web-based access to a test covering the issue’s content. For each incorrect answer on the test, the driver is linked to the OnRoads passage with the correct answer. Administrators can track which drivers have taken the test, their scores, and other data, using the SCORM-compliant online re-porting and learning management system (LMS).
