Vehicle logistics provider Acertus has launched a transportation management platform that allows vehicle manufacturers and shippers such as fleet management companies to better manage the process of moving vehicles between locations.
The platform, which is known as Vinlocity, connects shippers to pre-approved, vetted carriers that manage more than 20,000 trucks.
Acertus hopes to simplify and streamline auto shipping with instant quotes, seamless ordering, and real-time visibility into shipments, spend, and claims, according to the company.
With Vinlocity, shippers can get quick quotes at no cost, standard or expedited shipping rates, automatic shipping for single or multiple units, real-time tracking and notifications, and analytics.
The mobile-optimized platform can be used on desktop or mobile devices.
"Vinlocity, powered by our data lake, helps customers turn data into actionable insights that help them run their business more efficiently," said John Heimann, Acertus' chief information officer. "Intentional in design, the user interface makes adoption easy so dealers can spend more time selling vehicles, not moving them."
