The grand opening of the Auction Broadcasting Co.’s (ABC) Indianapolis facility is scheduled for Sept. 27, 2000. The six-lane, 86-acre facility, located at 3110 S. Post Rd., will be one of ABC’s flagship auto auction sites.
ABC Indianapolis features complete reconditioning, body shop, and mechanical repair services. The auction also features the latest technology such as the Auto Auction Theater Technology and the Recon Conveyor Ramp. The theater technology allows dealers to view cars as they proceed to the auction block and to bid on and purchase these cars in real time through the computer. The ReconRamp automatically processes cars through the reconditioning center as cars don’t have to be manually moved from station to station; at each checkpoint, standardized procedures ensure a uniform recon process for every vehicle. The facility also offers its customers local and nationwide pick-up and telemarketing services.
ABC currently operates auctions in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, and Minnesota. Major accounts serviced by ABC include BMW Financial, Americredit, World Omni, Wells Fargo, Arcadia, GECAL, Key Bank, RSA, Union Acceptance, National Car Rental, Budget Rent-A-Car, Enterprise, and Mike Albert Leasing.
