LAS VEGAS – The Alternative Fuels & Vehicles Conference + Expo will be held in Anaheim, Calif., from Apr. 1-4, 2007. The national conference, presented by the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVI), attracts more than 1,500 key experts and end users to accelerate the commercial adoption of alternative fuels, vehicles, and advanced transportation technologies. It will be held at the Anaheim Marriott and Convention Center.
Early sponsors include Alternative Fuel Vehicle Solutions, Clean Energy Fuels, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, and the National Biodiesel Board. The conference is supported by alternative fuels industry representatives and the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities program.
The program emphasizes four areas: alternative fuels, alternative-fuel vehicles and advanced transportation technologies, vehicle emissions, and policy and socioeconomics. The Expo will include major auto manufacturers, technology developers, industrial, heavy-duty and bus manufacturers, engine manufacturers, component suppliers and developers, fuel suppliers, government agencies, universities, as well as environmental and industry associations.
A ride-n-drive presents the largest display of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty alternative-fuel vehicles available, and attendees can get behind the wheel of the latest 2007 offerings and drive the vehicles themselves. Company representatives will be on hand to answer questions and talk about the newest technologies that result in significant fuel and emissions benefits.
Fleet Day will be on Tues., Apr. 3, and will include a focus on the topics and products that help fleets make informed transportation choices. The public is invited to visit the expo on Wed., Apr. 4, between 9 a.m. and noon. There is no charge.
The conference Web site is now live. Visit www.afvi.org/NationalConference2007 for sponsor/exhibiting information and program details.
