TOKYO – A new safety feature is now being developed by Nissan Motor Co. The feature causes a car's gas pedal to lift by itself to alert the driver of a possible collision, according to the Associated Press. That new technology uses radar sensors and a computer system to estimate a car's speed and the distance away from the vehicle in front of it.
