Tow trucks are a ubiquitous part of the vehicle landscape, but this Harry H. Knaack Motors truck from around 1940 that was utilized in the 1950s must have made an impression.
Upfit by the Auto Truck Group, the truck had a complex pulley system that appeared ready for towing any full-sized car or truck of the era.
Founded in 1918, the Auto Truck Group is headquartered in Bartlett, Ill.
