Shell VehicleMinder Software Simplifies Paperwork, Saves Time
Shell's new VehicleMinder software enables fleet managers to track preventive maintenance, monitor fuel costs, generate more accurate work orders, analyze parts usage and labor costs, and keep employee records up-to-date.
Shell Fleet Services has introduced a new vehicle maintenance software program for commercial fleets. Called Shell VehicleMinder, the new Microsoft Windows-based software helps maintenance managers simplify their recordkeeping, reduce costs and paperwork, and precisely track and control expenditures related to their fleet maintenance operations with point-and-click simplicity.
Shell Fleet Services is offering Shell VehicleMinder in partnership with Squarerigger, which has been in the fleet maintenance software business for 14 years.
"Successful fleet operations require the ability to access information about the business quickly and accurately," said Katherine Ventres Canipelli, vice president of sales and marketing for Shell Fleet Services. "Shell VehicleMinder is an asset management tool that helps fleets control information. The software is easy to set up, learn and use, and combines advanced features with simple operation."
Shell VehicleMinder helps fleet managers stay on top of their assets by quickly and more accurately tracking, analyzing, reporting, and printing vehicle, staff, and operations information. This can lead to reduced costs and more on-the-road time.
The software system enables fleet managers to:
Track preventive maintenance and inspections by generating "next due" and "history" reports.
Generate more accurate work orders.
Analyze parts usage and labor costs.
Monitor fuel costs by vehicle, groups of vehicles, or locations.
Track, analyze, and report tire life, location, costs per 1/32, and tread depth.
Keep employee records up to date, including medical, license, and driver proficiency information.
Track vehicle and equipment parts, specifications, capacities, licenses, and costs.
Another advantage of Shell VehicleMinder is that it can be adapted to meet a user's specific needs. The software provides a myriad of settings, allowing the fleet to tailor the system to meet its individual requirements. This enables fleet managers to enter, retrieve, and report information based on customized settings.
"Shell VehicleMinder is for fleet managers who want a simple, flexible way to manage their commercial fleets for optimum performance," said Canipelli.
