In June, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US hosted members of the automotive media at a ride and drive event in Detroit that allowed them to take the entire MY-2016 lineup on a test drive. The drive was held at the FCA test track, and was designed to put the vehicles through their paces in several high performance settings.
In addition to several track scenarios that were designed to test speed and handling, the Jeep products, including the all-new Renegade, were taken on an off-road test track where they had to navigate steep hills, water hazards, boulders, and muddy terrain.
Among the commercial products on display were the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickups. Included among the engine mix was the Ecodiesel. Also available for test drives were the Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City, both which have received light updates for MY-2016.
The Fiat 500X and Fiat 500 EV were both available for testing, showcasing the brand’s evolving range.
