Arnie Moolenaar is sometimes known as "The Old Salt Shaker" in Chicago NAFA circles. He is one of the founders of NAFA's Chicago chapter and served the organization as secretary for two years (1965, 1966) and vice chairman (1967).

Moolenaar first came to the Morton Salt Company 36 years ago. Six years later, he assumed management responsibilities for the firm's fleet and has been keeping the company's wheels rolling ever since. In those early days, Moolenar recalls that fleet management was very much a “seat of the pants" operation. Years later, especially after the establishment of the National Association of Fleet Administrators, fleet management became a much more professionalized occupation, Moolenaar reports.
