Jaguar Land Rover has opened its new North American headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey. The 144,000-square-foot facility drew a $30-million investment and is located near the company's former headquarters.
The new headquarters offers increased square footage, a showroom with the latest Jaguar and Land Rover models, as well as a product research, training and development center.
There are nearly 400 employees in Mahwah and an additional 40 employees based at a facility in Mississauga, Canada. Jaguar now has 232 retail dealers in the U.S.
In 2017, Jaguar Land Rover sold 114,333 vehicles in the U.S., which was an all-time record for the company. The company is targeting 2020 for a new lineup of electrified vehicles with battery-electric, plug-in hybrid, and mild hybrid powertrains. The company will continue to offer gasoline and diesel models.
The company plans to show several new models at the New York International Auto Show this week.
