Charter Communications' senior fleet director George Survant was named the 2016 Professional Fleet Manager of the year at a ceremony during the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association's (AFLA) annual conference in San Diego, Calif., on Sept. 20.
The award was presented by Automotive Fleet and sponsored by Wheels Inc. and AFLA.

Survant has been responsible for fleet strategy with Charter Communications and oversees 20,483 vehicles. He has spent four years with the company and is a veteran of the fleet industry with 40 years of experience under his belt.
He has been involved with numerous fleet organizations, including the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference and CalStart, an organization for global clean transportation technology. Survant has also served as a member of several OEM advisory boards.
Recipients of the award are full-time commercial fleet managers who control a company-owned or leased fleet in excess of 100 cars and light trucks combined. They are recognized among their peers for their abilities and accomplishments.
