General Motors will invest $148 million to repurpose flexible machining and assembly equipment to expand V-8 engine production at its Spring Hill Manufacturing Plant in Tennessee, the company announced.
The upgrade will allow GM to add capacity to produce its small block 6.2L V-8 engine available in trucks and SUVs such as the Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, GMC Sierra Crew Cab, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL Denali, and Cadillac Escalade.
