Land Rover's Range Rover Evoque will get two new diesel engines for a 2016 model-year update to improve fuel efficiency for the compact luxury SUV, Land Rover has announced.
A pair of all-aluminum Ingenium TD4 diesel engines will be available in two power outputs and drop 44 to 66 pounds (20-30 kilograms) from the previous engine. Power outputs include the 150PS that offers fuel economy of up to 68 mpg and the 180PS that offers 59 mpg, according to estimates from Land Rover. The 150PS unit is 18 percent more fuel efficient than the Evoque's previous diesel engines.
