Hyundai Motor Co. has revealed the first design images of a new light commercial vehicle designed and developed especially for the European market – the H350.
The new vehicle is based on a flexible platform that can support three body styles – cargo van, passenger bus, and flatbed truck – strengthening the company’s presence in the light commercial vehicle segment and targeting new customers in Europe, according to the automaker.
Hyundai said the design of the H350 is intended to be efficient and practical, while also appealing visually to customers. Echoing its passenger car counterparts, the H350 features a hexagonal grille integrated into the front bumper, flanked by stylish headlamps, complete with LED daytime running lights that wrap around the front of the new vehicle. Side mouldings run down the flanks to the rear, segmenting the cargo van’s panels and incorporating the practical sliding side-door.
The H350 provides cabin and cargo storage capacities, up to 1.4 tons payload and 2.5 tons towing capacity.
The new van will be built in Europe by Karsan Otomotiv Sanayil ve Ticaret A.S, a long-term commercial vehicle production partner of Hyundai Motor Company based in Turkey.
The World Premiere of the H350 will take place during the company’s press conference at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014 on 24 September 2014. Hyundai Motor will also display the new vehicle on its booth at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
