Acura's 2015 MDX mid-size luxury SUV will carry a starting retail price of $42,565, when it goes on sale June 3, Acura has announced. The price doesn't include a $895 destination charge.

Acura released pricing for eight MDX models with trim levels that include technology options, entertainment packages, and all-wheel drive. The MDX tops out at $56,780 plus the destination charge for the model that includes the Advance Package and all-wheel drive with "super handling."

The front-wheel-drive MDX is expected to achieve an EPA-rated fuel economy of 20 miles per gallon city, 28 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. The all-wheel MDX is expected to get 18 mpg, 27 mpg, and 21 mpg in those respective driving cycles.

The MDX is powered by a 3.5-liter, direct-injected V-6 that produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
