Lexus has announced the 2015 NX, the brand's first compact SUV, with three powertrains, including a gasoline-electric hybrid.
Lexus will offer the NX 200t, a gasoline-powered turbo; the NX 200, a naturally aspirated gasoline model; and the NX 300h, a hybrid. Lexus will offer a performance version, the NX 200t F SPORT, as well.
The vehicles will be shown for the first time at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition on April 20.
The 2015 NX marks the brand's entry to one of automotive's hottest segments that has seen a flurry of new vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and others in recent years.
With the NX 300h, Lexus will now offer six luxury hybrids. The NX will slot into the Lexus utility lineup just below the RX mid-size SUV.
