As of November 4, FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 320,065 U.S. market plug-in hybrid SUVs to resolve a potential fire risk. This recall affects certain model-year 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe SUVs.
A company review of customer data led to an internal investigation that discovered 19 fires.
Vehicle risk reduces when the battery charge level depletes. Stellantis advised Jeep owners to refrain from recharging their devices. Stellantis also advised owners of these vehicles to park them away from structures or other vehicles until the issue is remedied.
Stellantis will notify affected customers when they may schedule service. Stellantis urged owners to follow the instructions on their recall notices. Customers with additional questions or concerns are encouraged to call customer care at 1-800-853-1403 or visit recalls.mopar.com for more information.
Additional vehicles are affected in Canada (estimated 20,753), Mexico (estimated 2,653), and specific markets outside North America (estimated 32,238).
