At Automotive Fleet, we aim to provide fleet professionals with valuable insights and solutions that address their everyday challenges. To achieve this, we focus on connecting directly with fleets to understand their unique needs and industry trends.

Recognizing that fleet operations vary widely, we’ve established an Editorial Advisory Board for 2024-2025. Comprising experienced leaders from diverse fleet backgrounds, the board provides strategic guidance to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.

Theresa Belding, MBA

Theresa Belding, inducted into the 2024 Fleet Hall of Fame, is a trailblazer with over 30 years in fleet management. Starting her career at Forest Pharmaceuticals in 1993, she grew its fleet from 250 to 4,500 vehicles, setting best practices for safety and efficiency. Most recently a fleet manager at Exact Sciences, she has refined and expanded their fleet, doubling its size to 1,100 vehicles. Belding is celebrated for her leadership, strategic vision, and contributions to industry associations like NAFA and AFLA.

Gilead Sciences, Inc.

SuYvonne Bell serves as the associate director of sales operations at Gilead Sciences, Inc., a biotech company headquartered in Northern California. She oversees a dynamic fleet of approximately 1,000 vehicles and supports over 1,700 drivers in field-based roles and campus operations nationwide. 

A highly accomplished and multiple award-winning fleet professional, Bell is celebrated across the industry as a visionary leader and innovator. Her strategic leadership has propelled Gilead’s U.S. fleet program to the forefront of the industry, setting benchmarks in safety, financial stewardship, and driver satisfaction. In addition to her operational excellence, Bell is a driving force behind Gilead's sustainability initiatives, championing environmentally responsible practices and aligning the fleet's performance with the company’s broader sustainability goals.

Kimberly Fisher

Director, Global Fleet and Travel
NOV Inc.

Kimberly Fisher entered the fleet industry unexpectedly, starting as a fleet administrator at Cardinal Health and quickly adapting as the fleet grew from 260 to 1,200 vehicles after an acquisition. Since 2011, she has managed NOV’s 5,000-vehicle fleet across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., part of a global fleet of 7,000. In 2015, her role expanded to include managing the company’s travel program, overseeing policies, compliance, and vendor negotiations.

Ernie Garcia, director of fleet management and business systems at Gothic Landscape, earned Automotive Fleet’s2024 Fleet Visionary Award for driving fuel efficiency and innovation. Since 2019, has implemented mobile inspections, improved data systems, and emphasized proactive fleet management to reduce costs and enhance operations. Garcia values collaboration, adaptability, and leveraging technology, aiming for safer, more efficient fleets while preparing for future innovations like EVs and automation.


David Hayward, CAFM

David Hayward serves as the director of fleet management at ABM, bringing over 20 years of expertise in managing diverse fleet operations, including service, government, and pharmaceutical sales fleets. A recognized thought leader in the industry, Hayward frequently contributes to prominent fleet publications. He is a sought-after speaker at NAFA, AFLA, and other major fleet conferences.

Joe Hoiberg, MBA

Stanley Consultants

Joe Hoiberg, asset manager at Stanley Consultants, manages a 120-vehicle fleet across the U.S. and globally. Since 2016, he has modernized operations with data systems, an in-house trip reporting app, and a focus on customer service. Hoiberg is piloting EVs, exploring telematics, and pursuing certifications to enhance his expertise, emphasizing adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning in the fast-changing fleet industry.

Lisa Kneggs

With 29 years of experience, Lisa Kneggs is a fleet management expert specializing in cost savings and operational efficiency. As Fleet Manager at Farmer Brothers Coffee, she focuses on cost savings and optimizing service and delivery operations. She has held key roles at major companies, built successful fleet programs, and serves on industry boards. Kneggs holds a degree from Collin College and has advanced training in emotional intelligence and workplace ethics.

Jim Petrillo

Jim Petrillo has been with Fujifilm for over 28 years. In 2010, Petrillo was assigned to take on the fleet manager role, managing over 1,500 vehicles while retaining his role as manager of treasury services. While using his finance background, he has found many opportunities for overall savings in areas such as resale and cash flow, saving the company over $3M to date. In 2021, Petrillo was named Fleet Manager of the Year.
