Auto logistics provider Ship.Cars has launched a real-time tracking/status link feature that enables customers to get updates on their vehicle shipments from dispatch to delivery, with 24/7 access to shipment status and locations.
Auto logistics is an industry where time is of the essence. Lack of visibility and miscommunication can lead to disruptions and dissatisfied customers.
Ship.Cars develops solutions that bridge the gap between brokers, carriers, and customers. The company’s new real-time visibility feature aims to tackle these challenges by offering seamless tracking and updates for every auto shipment.
“Introducing our new visibility feature addresses the evolving needs of our auto logistics partners and their customers,” said Eftim Eftimov, president of Ship.Cars, in a July 17 news release.
Typically only available from last-mile delivery services in the retail sector, this feature will enable car shipping customers to monitor their orders by providing real-time status updates and access to all related inspection and delivery documentation.
This will allow shippers like Montway Auto Transport to reduce customer inquiries, limit negative feedback, and speed up customer service.
Functionality and Features
The customer tracking link offers the following features:
Real-time updates: Customers will have 24/7 access to vehicle shipment statuses and locations, ensuring they are always informed.
User-friendly interface: The link can be accessed from any device, providing a straightforward and intuitive customer experience.
Enhanced communication: The feature streamlines interactions between carriers and customers by reducing the need for back-and-forth communication.
Order documentation: The tracking page includes essential carrier and driver details, along with vehicle inspection documents.
Balancing Privacy and Visibility
Understanding the importance of customer privacy, Ship.Cars has engineered the customer tracking link to provide transparency without compromising security. The system ensures that sensitive information remains protected while delivering necessary customer updates.
Generative AI Chatbot
In the coming months, Ship.Cars plans to integrate a Generative AI chatbot into the tracking page for 24/7 customer support. This intuitive functionality will have the ability to answer a wide range of questions related to auto logistics.
