Federal grand jurors have indicted a fifth man on theft-related charges in the city’s fleet division, reported the Tallahassee Democrat. The owner of a Havana, FL, automotive store was indicted on nine counts of mail fraud and one count of illegally transporting goods across state lines as part of what authorities say was a multimillion-dollar auto-parts theft ring. Two city employees and the manager of a local auto-parts store were indicted on conspiracy and mail fraud charges in December. They were accused of purchasing $2.38 million worth of automotive supplies that the city never needed nor used, resold them and pocketed the money. The trial of a fleet division mechanic started in June.
