General Motors Corp. announced it will offer XM Satellite Radio in 44 of its 57 GM models, or more than three-quarters of GM's 2004-model year fleet. GM first offered XM as a factory-installed option on 2002 Cadillac Devilles and Sevilles. The automaker expanded the XM option to 25 models in the 2003-model year, and Cadillac became the first division to offer XM across its entire product line. Among new 2004 models to offer XM are the Chevrolet Malibu, Malibu Maxx, Colorado, and GMC Canyon. Other models to offer XM include: Buick LeSabre, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Chevrolet Cavalier and Impala. XM provides 101 nationwide digital-quality music and talk radio channels.
