Nissan's 2017 Rogue Sport compact SUV will retail for at least $22,380 when it goes on sale on May 11, Nissan has announced.

Nissan is offering the front-wheel-drive Rogue Sport in three trim grades including S, SV, and SL with optional all-wheel drive, which adds $1,350 to the price tag. The Rogue Sport S base model retails for $22,380, while the SV and SL retail for $23,980 and $27,030 respectively.

The Rogue Sport arrives as Nissan's new entry-level utility vehicle that's 12.1 inches shorter than the Rogue compact SUV with a 2.3-inch shorter wheelbase. It will offer up to 61.1 cubic feet of cargo space. It's powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine mated to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

The Rogue Sport offers an array of safety features, including optional forward emergency braking and rear cross traffic alert on SV and optional forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, and rear cross traffic alert on SL.

The SV grade adds the SV Premium Package and All-Weather Package, while the SL offers the Platinum Package and SL Premium Package. The higher trims also add roof rails, illuminated kick plates, and a frameless rear-view mirror.
