Driving Dynamics Offers Simulator-Based Driver Course

September 20, 2017 - Press Release

Driving Dynamics Inc. is now offering its Level II instructor-led simulator-based training across the U.S. in a multi-employer open enrollment format, the company announced.

Level II training, an immersive three hour blended course featuring Driving Dynamics' exclusive DrivActiv mobile simulators, complements and builds on the techniques learned in advanced performance behind-the-wheel safety classes.

And now, delivered through the company's unique Open Enrollment program, fleet operators of all sizes have the option to send one driver or many to training events being held across the country. For businesses that require onsite employer-dedicated training the company will continue to offer this format as well.

"Every year Driving Dynamics' conducts Open Enrollment classes in 55 major markets and more than 200 training sites throughout North America for our Level I behind-the-wheel driver safety training classes," said Ben Langley. director of training for Driving Dynamics. "We wanted to offer the same flexibility and convenience for our Level II classes and give fleets of all sizes access to the benefits of sophisticated instructor-led simulator technology."

This course is designed to provide drivers with critical skills to identify hazards early on and to execute sound operational control decisions to avoid a loss. Through practice on the simulator and emphasizing the proper use of vision for hazard recognition, the goal of the course is for students to achieve an advanced level of situational awareness and be able to:

  • Instinctively recognize and respond to danger
  • Identify complex road and traffic safety hazards
  • Achieve pre-emptive crash avoidance reaction times
  • Develop superior scanning and predicting abilities
  • Execute appropriate corrective actions to avoid dangerous escalation of events
